What is the SECTA Green Acorn Award?

In 2001, SECTA (South East Cornwall Tourism Association) decided that it wanted to recognise its members who were taking steps to protect and enhance our natural environment. Its scheme was the first of its kind locally and came before the national Green Tourism Business Scheme.

 

Initially it was self assessed and only open to SECTA members. However, other local tourism associations and businesses have constantly asked us to offer the scheme more widely. This we did and now any business in Cornwall can apply for a SECTA Green Acorn.
